SM-ART was created to preserve fine art masterpieces, objets d’art and high-value collectibles by bringing them back into the public domain to be enjoyed by new generations and inspire tomorrow’s artists. By creating NFTs of these highly coveted assets, it allows the masterpieces to be enjoyed through a new experiential medium – providing a new lease of life for artworks, many of which have remained unseen from public view for decades. NFAs allow collectors and art lovers from all over the world to own a piece of these previously inaccessible assets through a new and mutually discerning collective digital space.
Each of the assets in our collection, are all carefully curated, authenticated and selected through a stringent set of criteria and then presented to our selection committee for approval. This ensures that each piece meets both the industry standards and benchmarks to be considered a work of fine art and SM-ART’s own high standards of quality and distinction.
Passing it Forward
Our mission extends far beyond bringing fine art once again to the fore, it also seeks to ‘pass it forward’ to future generations through our charitable initiatives and environmental stewardship. Our consciousness dictates that our work and artist collaborations include charitable contributions on a global scale that address societal issues that span across both humanitarian and environmental concerns, both past and present.
As part of trying to reduce our own carbon footprint, SM-ART has chosen Earthly – a science-backed natural solutions organization, which helps balance our carbon impact. Its premise is working with nature to undo the damage caused by the industry and create a climate-positive planet. Research shows a trillion trees could be planted to capture huge amounts of carbon dioxide. Working alongside the initiative, SM-ART is aware of its current carbon impact and is continuously working to identify reduction pathways. SM-ART currently contributes to the Mangrove planting in Madagascar project, where statistically, four trees planted will offset a tonne of carbon over a span of 25 years. With every asset transaction through SM-ART, a portion of the proceeds go towards this initiative.
Security & Service
We do not take our responsibility to conserve and protect both our clients and their assets lightly. Security, transparency and discretion are our watchwords and it is vital to us that our platform and the assets under our stewardship are safeguarded through industry best practices. Our blockchain and crypto systems are diligently monitored and consistently upgraded to exceed industry accepted standards.
What is pervasive throughout the fabric of our company and platform, is a paramount and foundational tenant of bespoke round-the-clock concierge service to our clients and members. Their needs and experience are at the forefront of every interaction. It is vital that each receives a tailored and customised journey which embodies their vision, covenant and legacy.
